Water Wind Solar Energy Kit

Go Green. A kit designed to teach and demonstrate the use of the three natural re-sources for generation of energy, Wind, Solar and Water.

Windmill Demonstartor: Windmill, Wind power generator. To demonstrate generation of electricity by wind powered turbine. Wind produced by hand cranked fan which in turn turns a second fan connected to a generator. When the fan rotates it produces electricity and lights up a small bulb and also a voltmeter which is connected which indicates the amount of current being produced. Comes complete with instructions. Dimensions 8 inch (200mm) x 5 inch (125mm) x 4 inch (100mm).

Water Turbine: This is an apparatus that demonstrates the basic technology how electricity is generated using water, Hydro-electric generation. It consists of a see thru water turbine, connected by a belt to a generator, which in turn is connected to a LED and motor mounted disc. There are also two terminals from which electricity can be drawn. Mounted on a strong plastic base. Supplied with two PVC tubing, one for connecting the top of the turbine to a water source (tap) and the other for draining out the water.

When water is let in from the top, it turns the paddles in the turbine which in turn are connected to a pulley which with the help of a belt turns the generator. The generator generates electric power which lights up the LED and turns the motor on.

Base: 10 inch (250mm) x 6 inch (155mm) x 0.5 inch (12.5mm)

Solar: To demonstrate the effect of Solar Power. Kit comes with a mounted Solar Cell 3.5 inch x 3.5 inch, with terminals. A motor, a LED, a Rechargeable Battery and an Ammeter are mounted on a base 8 x 4.75 inch, each with its own pair of terminals. When the Solar Cell is connected to the base and power generated from the Solar cell, on exposing it to the sun, is given to either one of the components, it begins to function. This demonstrates that Solar Power can be converted to Mechanical Energy, Light Energy, Battery Power and Current.
